TUBE passengers face disruption to their journeys this afternoon as the entire Central line has been suspended.

Transport for London confirmed that the suspension was due to a signal failure at White City station.

Tickets are being accepted on First Great Western, National Express East Anglia and local bus services.

Elsewhere on the network, the Docklands Light Railway is suspended between Poplar and Tower Gateway, Poplar and Bank, Canary Wharf and Bank, and Canary Wharf and Tower Gateway due to a person under a train at Shadwell.

Since 22 December, up to and including yesterday, I have emailed the London Assembly Member for Havering and Redbridge, Roger Evans, no fewer than 8 times about failures/delays/disr
uptions on the Central Line. Not once has he either acknowledged, or replied to, any of my questions.

This man draws as an Assembly Member and a Havering Councillor in excess of £115k per annum from taxpayers. What does he do for it? It has to beat working for a living.
