A NEW jazz club is being set up at a village hall.
The club will start at North Weald Village Hall in the High Road on Friday (May 6) at 8.30pm with a performance by saxophone player Jo Fooks and her band.
Chairman of the village hall committee, Nick Dorras, said the jazz pianist who had played when the hall was redecorated and reopened to the public was a success and he hoped regular nights would also go down well.
“It’s hard to get people to put things on at the hall, so we’re doing it ourselves and hoping that we can fill in some gaps in the schedule,” he added.
