THE Pirates of Penzance will be coming to Wanstead in one of a series of outdoor summer shows at the Temple in Wanstead Park.
For each of the last five years, the Illyria theatre company has staged performances in the park, and the company is returning for another season starting with Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night on Saturday, June 11.
Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox receives an airing on August 10, and Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic light opera will be making its debut in the park on August 21.
Audiences are encouraged to bring food, a blanket and/or a folding chair to enjoy the festivities.
Tickets for all shows cost £10.95 for adults, £5.95 for under 16's, and £1.95 for under three's.
