A NEW mayor of Waltham Forest is due to be elected this week.
Councillors will meet on Thursday (May 26) to discuss nominations and vote on the post.
The council's committees for the next year will also be decided at the meeting, which is at town hall in Walthamstow and starts at 7.30pm.
He or she will replace the current mayor, Labour's Masood Ahmad.
