A MAN was robbed of his laptop at knifepoint as he walked home from Leytonstone Tube station.

The 30-year-old had just turned into Kings Road from Kingswood Road when he was approached by two men who asked if he had a light at 11.30pm.

He said no and carried on walking, but the duo followed him and one of them demanded his bag.

He then pulled out a kitchen knife and held it to the victim's shoulder.

The pair grabbed his bag containing a laptop and ran off, turning left at Kingswood Road.

Both men are described as white with a medium build, aged between 20 and 25.

Both were about 5ft 10ins.

The man with the knife was wearing a black woolly hat, blue jacket and grey tracksuit trousers.

He spoke with a strong eastern European accent.

The victim was uninjured and later went with police on a drive of nearby streets in an attempt to spot the suspects.

Details of the incident, which happened on Thursday, May 19, have only been released today.
