BULLETS have been found yards from families' homes.
Gunshots were reported in Priors Croft in Walthamstow at 6pm on Tuesday (May 10).
A number of young people were seen in the area at the time and it is believed those responsible ran off towards a red vehicle parked in adjacent North Countess Road.
Officers found two fired bullets in the street and a single bullet was found in the front passenger door pocket of a parked car.
There were no reported injuries and no arrests have been made.
Police have increased patrols in the area.
Trident, which investigates gun crime in the black community, is investigating.
