THOUSANDS of Redbridge families are benefiting from an award-winning information service which has helped them find childcare, local child-friendly activities and access to training.
FiND - Families Information Direct - has been awarded the National Association of Family Information Families First Quality Award.
Over the past year there have been more than 10,000 enquiries to FiND from people requesting advice on issues affecting childcare, health and safety and education.
FiND have also arranged help for parents with disabled children and provided assistance to those who struggle with English.
The service also runs an innovative Internet safety project, highlighting the importance of online safety which is run with the co-operation of local schools and police.
