COMPETITIVE dads will have the chance to show up their kids on Father’s Day at the Royal Gunpowder Mills.
A series of events have been lined up for families on the Father’s Day weekend on June 18 and 19 at the Royal Gunpowder Mills in Beaulieu Drive, Waltham Abbey.
They include a number of challenges pitting parents against children in rocket car racing, archery and shooting.
There will also be the chance to see the Mills’ extensive collection of arms and militaria, from machine guns to English Civil War muskets.
A new exhibition explores the rockets developed at the Mills when it was a research station.
