Chelsea have seen a bid for Valencia midfielder Juan Mata rejected by the Spanish club, but the Blues are set to go back with an improved offer.
According to the Daily Mail Chelsea’s original bid of £22 million was turned down but the west London club are expected to return with a higher offer.
The Blues are looking to strengthen their squad but face competition from Arsenal and Spurs in the race to sign the 23-year-old.
