PLANS for 10 floodlit football pitches have been given the go-ahead.
Elite Soccer Ltd final now has permission to create the pitches in Ashton Playing Fields, off Chigwell Road, Woodford Green.
An application was approved in May, but final details on parking have now been provided and were rubberstamped last Wednesday (August 17).
Elite Soccer will create eight five-a-side pitches and two seven-a-side pitches, as well as a new clubhouse.
Local schools and charities will be given access to the facilities free of charge.
The centre’s closing time was brought forward by half an hour to 10.30pm between Monday and Saturday and 9.30pm on Sundays to reduce noise disturbances for nearby homes.
