A MAN accused of killing his ex-partner and burying her in an allotment in Walthamstow has denied murder.
Sinclair Lewis, 54, pleaded not guilty at a hearing at the Old Bailey yesterday (Wednesday, August 24).
It is alleged he killed mother-of-one Julie Dorsett, 33, and then hid her body in Low Hall Farm Allotments in Bridge Road, Walthamstow.
Ms Dorsett, who was from Hackney, was last seen at a family friend's home in Stoke Newington back in 2002.
She was classed as a missing person until some of her bones and skull were discovered at the Walthamstow site in August 2008.
Mr Lewis, of Teignmouth in Devon, was arrested in May.
At the hearing he also denied one count of unlawful burial of a dead body.
He was held in custody and will go on trial at the Old Bailey on Monday, January 23 next year.
