THE TOWN Council will hold a public meeting to discuss ways the community can celebrate the 2012 Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Councillors are keen to hear what ideas people have to mark the two big events. They are also looking for people to volunteer to help with any events that may be planned.

Individuals and representatives of local organisations are invited to the meeting which will be held on September 13 in the Council offices on Bansons Way, Ongar, at 6.15pm.

Anyone planning to attend should inform the town council clerk by emailing clerk@ongartowncouncil.gov.uk or calling 01277 365348.
