BAR owners will seek to reassure residents in a face-to-face meeting at the end of the month.
Residents claim they are kept awake by noise caused by people spilling out of Funky Mojoe in High Road, South Woodford, in the early hours.
Redbridge Council had been due to face the club’s owners in the High Court in a bid to force a 1am closing time, but it reached a last-minute agreement to allow Funky Mojoe to stay open until 2.30am, angering residents.
At a heated public meeting to discuss anti-social behaviour, held in July, Chingford and Woodford Green MP Iain Duncan Smith proposed both sides should meet in an effort to thrash out a solution to the problem.
At that meeting, Funky Mojoe's solicitor David Dadds confirmed that the owners and management will speak directly to concerned residents, and a date has been set for September 30.
The location of the private meeting has not been disclosed.
