A VAN driver was found with £10,000 worth of copper cable believed to be stolen from BT.
The man was stopped by police at the junction of the M11 and A414 in Hastingwood on Monday and was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen goods.
The 26-year-old from Rainham, east London, was bailed to return to police on November 10.
Nearly 50 drivers were fined for driving while using their mobile phoned during the day-long operation.
Police also issued 11 tickets for drivers not wearing their seatbelts.
In London Road, Hastingwood, on the same day, 14 drivers were given speeding tickets and three drivers were fined for having illegally tinted front windows.
The driver of a Ferrari without number plates was stopped, as were two vans that were over the weight limit for the road.
Two drivers were reported for driving licence offences.
