HUNDREDS of people are expected to gather in the district next year for a music festival.
The Kush Kamp festival, which is aimed at gay people, is being planned for July 13 to 16 at Lippitts Hill, near Loughton.
Daniel Tait, the event’s 21-year-old organiser, said: “It’s a festival for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their families and the main ethos is people can go to the festival and not have to worry about anybody being prejudiced against them.
“My business is Let’s Go Camping and we’ve done weekend events and excursions. I’ve also worked with the V Festival.”
He said he hoped to book 2009 X Factor winner Joe McElderry and other attractions lined up for the festival so far include a kareoke stage and DJ tent.
