A MAN who was stabbed in the face last month remains stable in hospital, police say.
The 55-year-old was attacked at a flat in South Birkbeck Road, Leytonstone, at around 7.30pm on Monday November 21.
He was repeatedly slashed in the head and upper body.
The property is a suspected crack house and it is believed the victim knew his attackers.
A Met spokesman said officers have still not been able to speak to him due to the extent of his injuries.
No arrests have been made and a motive for the attack is yet to be established.
Neighbours reported seeing three men trying to break into a communal door by the property prior to the incident.
It is thought the man lived in the flat.
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 0203 276 0930.
To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
