THE owners of a café have applied for permission to turn it into a restaurant.
The Royal Star Café, in Hatch Lane, Chingford, wants to open Monday to Sunday from 6am until 11pm and sell alcohol.
The Friday Hill Tenant Management Organisation initially objected to the plans after it consulted with residents who said they feared the revamped business could attract anti-social behaviour.
But the organisation subsequently withdrew its objection after only one other resident formally expressed concern.
The council's licensing sub-committee will meet on Wednesday December 14 at 7pm in the town hall to decide on the application.
