THE BOROUGH’s busiest library will be closed for five months to make way for major refurbishment works.
Layout changes, a new cafe, self service machines and redecoration are among the £465,000 improvements to Ilford Central Library.
Redbridge Museum, the Reference Library and the Local Studies and Archives Service, on the second floor of the building, will remain open.
During the closure a limited library service will be set up in the Museum exhibition room on the first floor for residents to return, renew and collect reserved items.
