VIDEO: A TUBE passenger could be facing an assault charge after violently pushing a dancing man off a Central line train.

The YouTube footage shows a man wearing headphones dancing enthusiastically for eight minutes near the train doors while passengers on the Epping-bound service look on with a mix of amusement and bemusement.

The dancing man is not bumping into fellow passengers or being disruptive, but as the train stops at Leytonstone a fellow passenger pushes the dancer on to the platform.

He then cheered and stuck his fingers up.

It cannot be seen what happens to the dancer or whether he was injured.

The footage, fimed last week, has provoked mixed responses on YouTube, with some condemning the pusher and others praising him.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “We are aware of the YouTube video and our enquiries are ongoing.

“British Transport Police has not received a complaint from anyone regarding this incident.

“Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call BTP on 0800 40 50 40.”
