POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in Walthamstow in the early hours of this morning.
Officers were called to St James Street at 1.50am and found a 31-year-old man with a stab wound to his lower back. He was taken to hospital and is currently in a stable condition.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently being held at a police station. The incident took place between St James Street and the High Street.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and could have seen the incident to come forward. Witnesses should call Detective Inspector Claire Burns on 0203 276 0969 or if you would prefer to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
