THE trial of a homeless man accused of stabbing a father to death in front of his family is due to begin next week.
Matthew Quesada, 25, is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday (February 6) in connection with the killing of 63-year-old Alan Smith in March last year.
Mr Smith was sitting with relatives in the Roma Café in Lea Bridge Road when he was attacked.
The much-loved father-of-three lived in Islington for much of his life before moving to Hibbert Road, Walthamstow, in 2010.
