People escape Ilford shop blaze

FIFTEEN people fled from their flats when a fire started in the shop below.
Around half of the shop in Ilford was damaged by the flames when it caught ablaze around 4.20am this morning (February 4).
Four fire engines and about 20 firefighters had the fire in Ilford Lane under control by 5.20am.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
