A TEENAGE gang member has been banned from entering Waltham Forest on his own.
Kyle Kemp, 17, of Chisley Road in Tottenham, is forbidden to visit the borough unless accompanied by one of ten relatives with the purpose of visiting them.
Waltham Forest Police obtained the Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) on Thursday (February 9). It runs until February 9 2014.
Under the order he is also banned from associating with 13 specific individuals in any public places in Waltham Forest, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Haringey and Newham.
Additionally, he cannot possess a mobile phone other than one registered in his name in the same areas.
Police have not released further details or revealed what criminal acts Kemp is accused of.
Pc Dan Fox, of Higham Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team, helped secure the ASBO.
He said: “The ASBO aims to take Kyle away from a gang affiliated [sic] and offending lifestyle.
"Kyle has engaged with the council family partnership team but he has to make the effort to give himself a bright future with services and support offered through the council, partner agencies and educational opportunities.
"The ASBO is the latest step taken by police in breaking down street gangs to safeguard local residents, businesses and visitors to Waltham Forest.”
