MORE than 150 women and children attended an event celebrating the 101st anniversary of International Women’s Day.
Waltham Forest Women’s Network and guests heard Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy and local councillor Karen Bellamy give speeches on gender inequality in the 21st century.
The event at Walthamstow Academy in Billet Road earlier this month also hosted entertainment such as singing and dancing and stalls managed by local businesswomen.
