AN HISTORIC house could be demolished only to be replaced by six more homes.
The 1920s house in South Avenue, Chingford, could be levelled by developer NF Cooper Homes to make room for the three-bedroom semi-detached dwellings.
But six neighbours have objected to the plans because they feel it could lead to parking congestion on the street and that the new homes would appear out of character with the other houses.
They also believe the development is too dense for a residential area – the level of density is 222 rooms per hectare, which is above the maximum ratio of 200 per hectare which is applied to the road.
Waltham Forest Council is recommended to grant permission on March 27.
