A FAIR will be held to raise money for a cancer charity in memory of a mum who died of the disease.
Arts and crafts, jewellery, clothes and health and beauty stalls will be on offer during the event at Epping Sports Centre on Saturday (March 31) and the proceeds will be donated to the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation in memory of Michele Evans from North Weald, who died aged 43.
Her friend, Nicola Cockerell, 33, who is helping organise the event and is also running the London Marathon for the charity, said: “Michele only knew she had lung cancer for seven weeks before she died.
“I wanted to support the charity to raise awareness of the signs, provide research and support patients.”
The fair will run from 11am to 4pm at the centre in Hemnall Street.
