CHILDREN will have the chance to take part in a traditional egg rolling race as part of the City of London Corporation’s week of Easter-themed events.

Competitors can bring their own hard boiled eggs to the Temple in Wanstead Park any time between 1pm-4pm on April 9.

There will be paint on hand to decorate the eggs before racing begins.

Anyone who doesn’t want to boil their own egg can buy them on site for £1.

Other events in the Corporation’s Easter programme for Epping Forest include a talk by a Tudor huntsman at Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge on Ranger’s Road Chingford on April 12 at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

There will also be a wild play session at the Lodge on April 13 from 10am-noon. Anyone interested in this event should meet at Barn Hoppit car park on Ranger’s Road. Admission is £2 per child.
