SCOUT and guide groups from around Waltham Forest will be putting on a live entertainment extravaganza next month.
Around 80 children and young people will perform in the old style variety show at Chingford Assembly Hall as they continue a tradition started more than 40 years ago.
A similar number will also be backstage ensuring the evening goes as smoothly as possible for the youth group members, who are aged between 10 and 25.
The cast and crew have been rehearsing for four months for their acts, which will include singing, dancing and comedy sketches.
The Gang Show, so named by Ralph Reader, who organised the first show back in 1932, will be performed at the hall in Station Road, Chingford, on Thursday, May 3, until Saturday, May 5.
