CLASSICAL music lovers have the chance to hear a lecture on the life of one of the genre’s great singers next week.
Kathleen Ferrier’s career will be celebrated by author and broadcaster Paul Campion who will also play some of the recordings of the contralto singer for the Forest Recorded Music Society on what would have been her hundredth birthday, Friday, April 13.
The evening, which is free to attend, at All Saints Church Hall, in Church Avenue, Highams Park, will begin at 7.30pm.
