A WOMAN is in hospital after being hit by a lorry as she stepped out of her car.
The 19-year-old was seriously injured in the crash, which happened on Monday at about 7.20pm outside the former Spotted Dog pub in Ivy Chimneys Road, Epping.
The driver of the truck failed to stop.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or the flat-bed lorry, which was heading towards the centre of Epping from the Theydon Bois direction, to call Pc Steven Tisseyre at the Chigwell Road Policing Unit on 101.
