A TEN-year-old girl is planning to trek 10 miles through Epping Forest in a bid to raise money for a cancer charity.
Jessica Fitz-Gibbon, of Clover Leas, Epping, decided to take on the task after seeing an appeal from Cancer Research UK on TV and plans to walk from Bell Common to her aunt’s home in Leytonstone.
Her father, Ryan Fitz-Gibbon, 43, who will accompany her, said: “Her granddad died before she was born, of cancer, so she wanted to do something.
“She’s very little, so it’s going to be hard for her. She’s already got £255 in sponsorship after a few days.”
The pair will take on the task on July 25 and anyone wishing to sponsor them can visit justgiving.com/JessicaFitz-Gibbon0301.
