CHILDREN ended a week of Olympic activities by dressing up to create a giant set of Olympic Rings.
The pupils from Bancroft’s School in High Road, Woodford Green, were photographed from the air as they joined with teachers to pose for the colourful display.
The display, on June 16, marked the end of a busy week in which children held their own Olympic opening ceremony, complete with drumming and dancing.
They then had special classes on topics including the Paralympics and Ancient Games and were given a talk by BBC athletics commentator Mike Costello.
Teacher Alex Adams, who organised the events, said: “The week meant that all children experienced the Olympics in some way, right the way across the curriculum, with the staff teaching specially adapted lessons to encompass the Olympics.”
