ARTISTS rejected by the National Portrait Gallery will be given the chance to show their work at an a new exhibition.

Adam Laurence, 46, of Grosvenor Road in Walthamstow, is staging the second Dazed and Refused event featuring works not accepted by the annual BP National Portrait Competition.

It gives the public the chance to view nearly 100 rejected painters' works at the Arch Gallery in Bethnal Green.

He said: "It's a great opportunity to see a much broader selection of paintings than the Portrait Gallery will have.

"It's in its second year now and it's getting a lot more entries than last year.

"We're hoping it will be more and more successful as it continues."

The exhibition runs from tomorrow (June 20) until June 30 and is free to attend.
