POLICE are appealing for the victim of a suspected knife-point robbery to come forward following the arrest of two teenagers.

The pair were allegedly seen mugging another youngster in Church Road, Leyton, at around 2.30pm last Thursday (June 14).

A passer-by called police but when officers arrived they could not find the victim.

Officers then arrested an 18-year-old man and 17-year-old boy who matched the description of those involved nearby.

They also discovered a knife during a search of the area.

Both youths have since been bailed pending further enquiries until July 12.

A Met spokesman said: "There may be a number of reasons why the victim has chosen not to contact police but we will like to reassure them that we will do all we can to support them."

The victim and anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact DC Keith O’Neil on 020 3276 0954.

Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
