A COMMUNITY centre is giving residents the chance to have their photo taken with one of the Olympic Torches as part of a fund-raising event.
Torchbearer Shah Husain, 41, will be visiting The Mill, in Coppermill Lane, Walthamstow, with his golden flame-holder for the event on Sunday (July 29) at 11.30am.
Mr Husain, a practice manager in Whitechapel who volunteers at The Mill, carried the flame in Hackney on Saturday (July 21) prior to its arrival in Waltham Forest.
The 'Olympic Community Breakfast' will include refreshments and is free to attend, although organisers are encouraging visitors to make a £1 donation in aid of the centre and its work.
It comes after thousands of people lined the streets to watch the relay go through Leyton and Walthamstow at the weekend.
