BELLS have rung out across Epping Forest and the country to mark the start of the Olympic Games.
Brian Rolfe, the chairman of Epping Forest District Council, was joined by the Matching Handbell Ringers outside the council headquarters in High Street, Epping, at exactly 8.12am this morning.
He helped them with a three-minute chime that helped set the scene for the opening of the festivities.
