A PARK which boasts newly refurbished tennis courts and a pavilion has been awarded green flag status.
Abbotts Park in Leyton joins Ridgeway Park, Coronation Gardens and Langthorne Park in holding the coveted status in Waltham Forest, which denotes parks that are especially clean and green.
Meanwhile Hawkwood Nature Reserve, off Hawkwood Crescent in Chingford, was also awarded a community green flag after volunteers' hard work in maintaining the space so it is accessible to the public.
