A GUIDE dog was attacked by an "out of control" bull terrier while it was being trained.
The 14-month-old labrador was bitten in the neck inside Chingford Railway Station on Monday at 2pm, but was not badly injured.
A passerby who witnessed the attack managed to part the dogs using a chair, but the two men accompanying the bull terrier, which was not on a lead, then left the station.
They are both described as white and aged between 15 and 25. One was about 6ft, of stocky build with black cropped hair. The second was around 5ft 7 ins, of a slim build with short dark hair. A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: "This dog was not muzzled and was out of control. Luckily, the guide dog did not sustain serious injuries, but the result could have been much worse."
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call the BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoopers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The BTP said they do not have any CCTV images of the suspects.
