MUSICIANS will perform live in a nursing home so the residents can enjoy the therapeutic benefits music brings.
Harts House Nursing Home, in Harts Grove Woodford Green will host the special concert on Wednesday.
The concert has been organised by Music in Hospitals (MiH) and is one of a series of therapeutic performances across Essex.
The charity MiH provides professional live concerts to help improve the lives of those in care.
Manager of the home, Juliana Miles, said: “Music is such a huge part of everyday life but a live performance really is very special. We love listening to music as it brings everyone together, lifts spirits and certainly gets toes tapping.
“Residents who may normally struggle with memories, such as those with dementia, suddenly find themselves recalling words and songs, so we know this performance will be a real treat.”
