A HEART support group has invited the Mayor of Redbridge along as a special guest to their next meeting.
King of Hearts meets every second Wednesday of the month and on October 10 Mayor of Redbridge Muhammed Javed has been invited as a special guest.
The group provides support and advice for cardiac patients and their families.
Treasurer George Scott said: "It is a bit of a lonely thing when you have a heart complaint. They sort you out at the hospital and then you are out on your own and more often than not it helps to talk to someone."
The group's next meeting is on October 10 at Fullwell Cross Library, in High Street, Barkingside at 7.30pm.
