Snaresbrook Primary School receives International School Award for educating about cultures around the world

A PRIMARY school has been honoured for its teaching of different cultures.

Snaresbrook Primary School in Meadow Walk, South Woodford, is among 700 schools across the country to be given an International School Award by the British Council.

Activities included arranging for pupils to have pen pals at a school in Australia and lessons on fair trade products.

Children also learned songs from across the globe with the Voices Foundation, a music education charity.
