VIOLENCE in the community has been condemned by the Tamil Refugee Action Group.
Tamil youths have been linked to violent attacks in Walthamstow over recent months.
A gang brawl broke out between two rival Tamil gangs, one believed to be from East Ham, after a tsunami benefit gig at Walthamstow Assembly Hall.
Similar gang violence has been linked to an attack which led to gangs smashing windows of a car and brawling in a residential street.
Saba V Moorthy said: "We utterly condemn this violence. It is very, very sad that a few youths are involved in this sort of activity.
"We are a peaceful community. There are a few youths who are behind these incidents, it does not reflect the whole of the community."
