Community leaders are being sought to help increase the number of people involved in disabled sport.

Epping Forest District Council is inviting community workers and young players of Boccia to become a Boccia community leader.

Participants on the day-long course will learn about the Paralympic sport and how to get more people involved in the pastime, which is similar to bowls in that players must roll their boccias closest to the jack.

The course at St John’s Secondary School in Tower Road, Epping, costs £60 to take part in.

It runs from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, January 13.
