An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured after being knocked from his bike yesterday morning.

The boy’s bicycle and a red Vauxhall Corsa driven by a man in his 40s crashed on the A414 in High Ongar at the junction with Forest Lodge Road at about 11am.

The road was closed between Forest Lodge Road and the Four Wantz Roundabout while the boy, who is from High Ongar, was taken to hospital.

Anyone who saw the collision should call PC Timothy Hardy-Wallace at Chigwell roads policing unit on 101.
