Volunteers in charge of restoring Epping’s former stately home will be putting their work on show during the first guided tour of the year.

The Copped Hall Trust has been bringing Georgian mansion in Crown Hill back to its former glory since 1995, and hold tours on the third weekend of every month.

The first of the year takes place on Sunday at 10.15am and will include a large part of the mansion, all of the gardens, the cellars and stables.

Vic Knope, the chairman of the Friends of the Copped Hall Trust, said: “We hope that people will take the chance to see all the work we have done in the house since last year and hear about our plans for 2013.”

Refreshments will be available, and admission to the tour costs £7
