Finance chief, David Finch, will lead Conservative election campaign at county council elections in May

The man responsible for overseeing millions of pounds worth of spending cuts has been selected as the Conservative campaign chief for the county council elections in May.

Cllr David Finch, the deputy leader of Essex County Council, will direct Conservative strategy as they try to retain control at county hall.

Currently the portfolio holder for finance and transformation, he said: “We have an amazingly good story to tell, having ensured we have made cuts to meet the global fiscal crisis while still investing in front line services.”
