Villagers are banding together to restore their streets to a state they can be proud of with a litter pick.

People in Bovinger, Bobbingworth, The Lavers and Moreton, near Ongar, are looking for people to help them pick rubbish out of hedgerows and verges.

A group is due to meet at Moreton Primary School in Church Road on March 24 at 10am to start the clean-up, dubbed Our Pride at Stake.

For more information or to sponsor the event, call Graeme Cooper on 01277 890470, visit the Facebook page Our Pride at Stake or follow the Twitter account @ourprideatstake.
