The New Year has started with a new look, for one man, after his daughter surprised him with a £25,000 makeover.

54 year-old Keith Welch, a building site manager from Loughton, got the gift of a lifetime after his 15 year-old daughter, Emily, entered him into a competition.

Now, after winning the top prize, Keith is having laser eye treatment, cosmetic dentistry and skin enhancement procedures, along with fashion and grooming advice.

Keith said that he could not be happier with the life changing treatments.

He said: ““To say I am thrilled is an understatement.

“It was a shock but a wonderful one. “I was embarrassed about my smile but that’s all changing.”

More than 2,000 people entered the competition to nominate a loved one for a dream makeover, worth up to £25,000.

Keith’s new look will be unveiled by Jeff Brazier at the Marriot Hotel, Waltham Abbey, on March 21 in a special Gala Event.

The transformation is being documented from start to finish on YouTube. To watch Keith’s progress, visit
