Female cricket stars Beth Morgan and Lydia Greenway coached classes at Epping Primary today
Two England cricket stars joined the push to get girls into the sport today as they taught a lesson at a school.
Beth Morgan and Lydia Greenway travelled to Epping Primary to lead a year 3 lesson and work with the girls’ cricket team after school.
Head teacher Mrs O’Donnell said that the children were thrilled at the opportunity to meet the women who have both represented England in the sport. She said:
“The children were so excited, they were in awe of them. “I have never seen them get changed so quickly for PE.
“Our PE staff have been trying to promote girls cricket so this is really good for them.
The cricketers spent more than two hours with the children, giving them tips and answering their questions.
