Samanatha Fox becomes patron of Waltham Abbey cats' home
An ex-page three model has shown her support for a local cat rescue centre by becoming their patron. Samantha Fox, 47, now a singer, dropped in to Scratching Post, in Woodgreen Lane, Waltham Abbey, for three hours to take care of kittens.
Miss Fox, who lives in Chingford, said:”It’s great to be involved with the centre because they are local and I can go down there and get really hands on with the cats.” “Hopefully I can raise some funds and awareness for Scratching Post with my fans.”
Marion Ellis, 53, Scratching Post Manager said: “We are delighted to have Sam as a Patron because she is local to the centre and she’s an animal lover." The star was such a hit at the centre that there were even two black kittens named after her, Sam and Foxy.
The centre relies on volunteers and donation in order to run and buy the cats’ favourite food Butcher’s Choice and is currently looking for a plumber and roofer to carry out repairs.
